What "herb dispensary" means on a sign
The word is slang. State regulators write "medical cannabis dispensary," "adult-use retailer," or "medical marijuana treatment center" on the license. A sign that says herbs can mean cannabis, hemp, kratom, or botanical smoking blends. Ask for the license number. In the US, every legal cannabis sale runs through a state-licensed retailer.
Medical vs recreational: the differences
- Age: 21+ for adult-use in every state program. Medical patients are 18+, and some states enroll minors with a caregiver.
- Entry: medical requires a physician certification and a state card. Adult-use requires a government photo ID.
